Surprisingly, the rod was almost as thin as Chell's vertical belly button. It slid into her navel almost like a key, taking Chell's breath away with its cold steel. Unfortunately, the rod came to life. All of the test subject's muscles suddenly contracted at once as the electric current flowed through her body. GLaDOS remained unmoved by Chell's strained screaming, but merely observed the automatic flexing of her back which only drove her belly upwards. With no remorse, the AI kept the stun rod on for too long. Suddenly, Chell's agonized sounds and movements stopped, and she slumped against the test panel. Her heart had stopped from the continuous electrocution, and her heart rate monitor is now showing a flat line.
